Sudan preventing: Gunfire, air strikes rock Khartoum as clashes intensify

Date:

Fierce preventing continued in the Sudanese capital Khartoum on Monday with air strikes, artillery and gunfire ringing out. Since April, Sudan’s army, and the paramilitary group, Fast Assist Forces, have been locked in a violent battle.  Sudan’s Docs’ Syndicate estimates that 860 civilians hav been killed in the preventing. Final Friday warring sides agreed to a 24-hour cease-fire which ended at 6am on Sunday morning. Liza Kaminov reviews.
