Lovers of the enduring Nesquik milk powder might be disillusioned to study that the product will now not be obtainable in South African supermarkets, as Nestlé South Africa has introduced that they’re discontinuing their Nesquik chocolate and strawberry powders (250g and 500g) from 21 August 2023.
Nestle cites a drop in gross sales and decrease demand for the product as the rationale for eradicating the product from the market.
“Nesquik will now not be produced in South Africa and thus discontinued. Nestlé understands that this will likely disappoint some shoppers,” the corporate stated.
Nestlé stated it will proceed producing its Milo, Scorching Chocolate and Cocoa drinks. “These manufacturers have proven exceptional efficiency and client loyalty, making them the main target of Nestlé’s efforts to construct a more healthy and sustainable enterprise for the long run,” it stated.
Takudzwa Mupfurutsa, Enterprise Government Officer: Dairy, Nestlé East and Southern Africa stated: “Delighting shoppers is on the core of Nestlé’s mission, and we’re excited to announce our strategic resolution to deal with our key manufacturers.
“We stay dedicated to bringing innovation to the Cocoa Malt Drinks class, and we’re keen to enhance and introduce new merchandise that might be hitting the cabinets quickly.
“We want to specific our deepest gratitude to our shoppers for his or her unwavering help all through the years,” stated Mupfurutsa.
