Arterra Wines acquires two Ontario wineries


Arterra Wines Canada acquires Angels Gate Vineyard and Kew Vineyards Property Vineyard within the Beamsville Bench, the westernmost a part of the Niagara Peninsula wine-growing space in Ontario.

“The Beamsville Bench is acknowledged worldwide for the standard of its wines, and I’m honoured to welcome these two revered wineries in our household of Niagara wineries,” says John Boynton, president of Arterra Wines Canada. “These acquisitions mirror the corporate’s mission to develop wonderful VQA premium choices whereas leveraging Arterra’s winemaking excellence”.

Angels Gate has a complete of 110 acres, with grape varieties together with Chardonnay, Riesling, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. With over 80 acres, Kew Vineyards Property Vineyard’s 1975 plantings are among the many oldest within the area.
